JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primarily: Represent the brand to customers in store, online, and at events - such as pop-up
locations, community events, and industry functions. Weekend availability is a must.
Manage inventory
Assist with sales and marketing initiatives (including potentially assisting with social media initiatives)
Set up retail displays
Contribute to regularly scheduled product and marketing meetings
Foster and enhance a culture of teamwork & collective effort
Customer service
Be able to open and close the studio and respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone,
and online.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
We provide training to individuals who embody our values. This job requires you to work with your
hands and occasionally lift and move boxes or materials. While no educational requirements exist,
the right candidates will have a record of hard-work and strong communication skills. Any sales,
communication, retail, or marketing experience is a plus!

Our small close-knit team offers a fun, fast paced, customer service-oriented work environment.
Duties of a Guide look a little different these days since we haven’t yet resumed offering guided group tours. Guides are still expected to welcome groups to the facility, provide information needed before beginning a self-guided walk, and answer any questions related to a visit. When a Guide is not helping a group, he or she will be expected to rove through the Gorge to answer visitor’s questions in addition to performing grounds and maintenance projects related to the Gorge and main grounds. Other duties may include assisting with ticket and gift shop sales as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the main building and outdoor areas.

This person should have an interest in learning about the history, geology, and ecology of Kinsman Notch. This position also aides the management staff in day-to-day operations of Lost River Gorge’s gift shop and ticket admissions including answering questions and phone calls, accepting and processing payment, restocking merchandise, basic cleaning and organizing, and other tasks as assigned by management.

Education:
High school diploma or its equivalent required. Vocational/ technical school training in electrical and computer related fields desirable.
Experience:
High school diploma required. Associates degree in Electrical Technology or Electrical Theory preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years as an Apprentice or 1st Class Lineworker or 3 years’ experience as a Control Center Operator for an electric utility. Electrical switching or control room operator experience may substitute on a year-by-year basis.
Job Knowledge:
A training period will be necessary to learn the requirements of the job. The length of the training period will be based on experience, education, and aptitude. Emergency response is desired. Employee must have a telephone and be able to report to Communications/Control Center at a reasonable reporting time during emergencies.
Abilities:
Employee will be expected to quickly develop a good working use of computer systems. Experience with the use of a personal computer is desirable. Must be able to work independently without supervision and be able to make immediate and effective decisions. Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to effectively coordinate functions of the Control Center during stressful system outage situations. Must be able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor and attitude when dealing with members and other employees. Must possess knowledge in interpretation of system maps, line feeds, system locations, work order procedures, company policies and FCC rules and regulations. Must have the ability to maintain accurate reports and records. Must have excellent telephone and two‐way radio skills.
Working Conditions:
General Office environment; work performed primarily while sitting at work station. This position is a 24‐hour rotating shift position, which includes shifts of up to 12 hours in duration and includes weekends and holidays. Assistance with power restoration efforts is required of all employees. It may be required during regular business hours that employees will be assigned functions to support power restoration and for some employees that may be different from their normal duties. In addition; such assistance may require working nights, weekends and holidays which may involve considerable extra hours. In order to meet this working condition, all employees are required to provide a personal phone number where they may be reached after hours.

The Position:
Reporting to the Member Solutions Supervisor, the job responsibilities for the Member Solutions Representative will include the following:
Provide service to members and the general public who call, email, or visit NHEC by providing information, answering questions, and resolving issues.
Support the member by providing appropriate and innovative solutions to our members and customers by listening, responding to and making courageous decisions.
Promotes core program initiatives.
Assures quality service to a member or prospective member by answering phone calls, emails or visits to the office for new line construction, service upgrades, retirement and relocation work and resolving member inquiries concerning construction schedules, costs, right of way problems and tree cutting issues.
Provides service to members by answering telephone calls directed to NHEC; initiates service orders in response to member’s requests to establish or discontinue electric accounts; initiates new accounts and maintains member records by updating account information.

Must be able to organize and carry out delegated work. Must be able to maintain a calm and professional appearance and attitude when dealing with members, other employees and vendors. Must have good written and oral communication skills. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to operate typewriter, word processor, cash register, mainframe terminal, copy machine, facsimile machine. Must have good typing and 10-key skills.
Working Conditions:
Normal office conditions. Working hours will be scheduled. Must be available for call-outs during emergency outage situations.
