Mind Over Murder- Saturday, May 7th
We cordially invite you to the Annual Mystery in the Mountains Event! This family friendly, one-day event draws people from far and wide to solve the mystery, enjoy the mountains and spend time with one another. It has regularly drawn a large audience, including “teams” that have formed over the years and come back every year, multi-generational families who use it to host a get together, and friends who meet up in Lincoln-Woodstock each year to reconnect. Played once, the game becomes a tradition to many of the players.
Each year for the past handful of years, a murder has been committed in the area. This year, we invite back our dogged and loyal detectives (and new sleuths willing to take up the challenge) to help us get to the bottom of the happenings in our community. Five suspects will be in locations in the area, where they can be interviewed (interrogated), and players can scour the town for clues, which can be collected via “touchless” collection by scanning QR codes or taking a photo of the clue. Back by popular request is a chance to dine with the characters and get additional time and clues to help you solve the case. This year join us for the suspect buffet lunch at the Indian Head Resort. Lunch: Adults $27, Children under 12 $15. Register online!
The mystery event runs for ONE day this year, Saturday, May 7th and culminates in a reveal at 5:30PM at Jean’s Playhouse in Lincoln, NH when the mystery is solved, and prizes are awarded to those who have entered and guessed correctly. Prizes range from overnight stays to gift certificates to local stores and restaurants. $10 per person. Each person registered will receive a case file and one arrest warrant.

The Story Starts Here:
“Mind over Murder”
The American Society of Psychics and Clairvoyants (ASPC) has for years been dedicated to proving the validity of psychic and clairvoyant abilities in certain people and working to gain respect for those given these gifts. As such any person wanting to join the Society must go through an intensive series of tests given by the Board of Directors of ASPC. If the tests prove to the Board that the person’s “gifts” are authentic, they are offered a membership in the Society.
The Society strives to provide these services at no cost to individuals and organizations. The Society has been running in the red for several years and must either drastically raise dues, start charging for ASPC help which was previously given free of charge, or change its goals and loosen membership requirements to increase membership.
The debate has become quite divisive. The President and Founder of the ASPC believes in keeping the group small. So far, most members back the President but there is growing sentiment to allow others to gain the recognition and respect for their beliefs which the Society is providing for its current members. The V.P. and Treasures plan to force a vote on their proposal during this convention. Then the President and Founder is found dead the night before the convention is to begin. Nervous members scatter to various lodging locations around the area as they do not feel comfortable staying close together if there might be a murderer in their midst. Can you help us solve the mystery?
