White Mountain Bicycle Week 2022
Bike For The Better- Saturday, May 28th through Saturday, June 4th
Scenic paved paths, cross-country routes, road rides, and dirt berms, the White Mountains of New Hampshire are home to an array of bike adventures. During White Mountain Bicycle Week – the other New Hampshire bike week – the communities of Lincoln, Woodstock and Franconia Notch celebrate the pleasures of pedaling in the great outdoors, while supporting regional non-profits.
A series of activations and daily featured rides will highlight the diverse biking opportunities in the area and encourage all to get outside and ride. Avid cyclists, young families, downhill riders and more will find opportunities to get pedaling at their own pace.
White Mountain Bicycle Week is built on the principle to bike for the better. Many of the activities throughout the week will benefit non-profit organizations that support the nearby community like The Bridge Project and Lincoln Woodstock Friends of Recreation. By simply getting outside, participants will be making a difference in the community.
Biking has many benefits both for the rider and the environment. Throughout the week, people are encouraged to take a test ride at integrating biking into everyday life. Commuting to work via bike. For commuters with too far to ride from home can park safely at a participating parking lot in the community to shorten up their ride times. Safe parking lot locations can be found at the White Mountains Visitors Center, Western White Mountain Chamber of Commerce, Kanc Recreation Area, and at the Escape Lot (first lot on the right after the Cooper Memorial Bridge). Daily exercise improves your overall health. During these longer days of spring and summer, commit to riding 30 minutes a day.
We’re excited to announce that there’s now an official White Mountain Bicycle Week T-shirt! We’ve collaborated with Burgeon to create the official White Mountain Bicycle Week T-shirt. The $10 from the proceeds of the sales goes directly to the Western White Mountains Chamber of Commerce to help fulfill their mission of connecting businesses and people to create a thriving community, and 5% of all Burgeon sales goes towards supporting local and environmental causes.
