Upper Pemigewasset Historical Society

According to the UPHS website, “The mission of the Upper Pemigewasset Historical Society is to preserve, protect, and share the rich history of the Upper Pemigewasset Region of New Hampshire. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to educate and inspire our community and visitors by procuring and preserving historical artifacts, conducting research, organizing events, and providing a platform for the exploration and appreciation of our shared heritage.”
Inside of a beautiful old church located next door to the Lincoln Public Library, you will find one of the coolest places in the Western White Mountains. The building is chock full of antique artifacts such as clothing and furniture, has a number of miniature repilicas of historic sites, objects related to the area’s logging history and so much more. In the basement there is a very large and detailed train track.
The building is accessible. Hours may vary so we recommend calling ahead of time, often they are more than happy to set up a appointment time to visit!
