Beaver Pond

Beaver Pond

Just past Lost River Gorge  on Route 112 going west, you will find Beaver Pond on the left hand side, just after you pass the parking lot for Beaver Brook Trailhead. Stocked annualy with trout this is a popular fishing destination year round. In the summer fish from shore or boat, in the winter try out ice fishing! Always make sure the pond is frozen and very solid before heading out onto the ice. Also be sure to purchase or renew your fishing lisence. There is a sizeable parking lot, which is not maintained during the winter. However, the Beaver Brook Trailhead parking lot is, however there is a day fee to park here.

The pond is at the high point on Route 112 and feels like an alpine pond being surrounded by tall mountains. This is a wonderful place to check out the foliage in the fall and not quite as popular as some areas. There is a picnic table available! Swimming is not allowed at Beaver Pond.
