About the Lincoln Police Benevolent Association
The Lincoln Police Benevolent Association (LPBA) is a nonprofit organization formed to support the dedicated men and women of the Lincoln Police Department and enhance the services they provide to the community. While public funding covers many day-to-day operations, the LPBA helps bridge the gap by raising funds for specialized equipment, advanced training opportunities, officer wellness initiatives, and resources that may not otherwise be available through traditional budgets.
The association supports all facets of the department, from patrol officers and dispatchers to detectives and the department’s K-9 team. Funds raised through community events such as Charity Bingo help provide equipment, training, and assistance during incidents involving department personnel. The LPBA also contributes to community outreach efforts, helping foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the residents and visitors they serve.
Beyond supporting the department itself, the association plays an important role in strengthening the overall safety and well-being of the Lincoln community. By investing in professional development, specialized resources, and community engagement, the LPBA helps ensure that the Lincoln Police Department remains prepared, equipped, and connected to the people it serves.
Events like Charity Bingo are a great example of how local businesses, residents, and visitors can come together to support those who dedicate their careers to protecting the community. Every dollar raised helps the LPBA continue its mission of supporting law enforcement personnel while enhancing public safety efforts throughout Lincoln.
Coming Together to Support Those Who Serve
Events like last night’s Charity Bingo remind us of the power of community. When local businesses, organizations, residents, and visitors come together for a shared cause, the impact extends far beyond a single evening of fun.
Thanks to the generosity of 1764 Sports Bar & Grill, the support of the Lincoln Police Benevolent Association, and everyone who purchased cards, donated, or simply showed up to participate, funds were raised to help support the men and women of the Lincoln Police Department. These community-driven events not only provide valuable resources for local organizations but also strengthen the relationships that make Lincoln such a special place to live, work, and visit.
Supporting public safety, youth programs, nonprofits, and community initiatives, are a reminder that small acts of participation can make a big difference. Together, we can continue building a stronger, more connected community, one event at a time.
