30th Annual (almost!) Famous Rubber Ducky Regatta
Labor Day- Monday, September 7th, 2026!
Every Labor Day, close to 1,500 adorable, yellow rubber ducky seek adventure as they compete in a thrilling race down the scenic Pemi River, starting from Cascade Park in North Woodstock. From first place, last place to earning the title of “best name,” winners emerge across various categories! Attendance isn’t required for winners to claim their prizes!
This family-friendly affair offers complimentary entertainment, face painting, craft activities, and games for all to enjoy while we’re waiting for the race to begin!
“Adopt” a single duck for $5 or purchase 4 ducks and get the 5th one FREE! Duck adoptions can be done in person at the Chamber office through Labor Day weekend, the day of the event at Cascade Park or online until 6AM, Monday, September 7th. Winners will be announced following the conclusion of the race. You don’t need to be present to win – we’ll contact all winners by phone and email.
Proceeds from the event go towards supporting the Chamber Scholarship Fund, benefiting a graduating senior from Lin-Wood High School. Meredith S., the 2025 Scholarship recipient said, “Your support to this community is greatly appreciated. This scholarship will help me achieve a higher education and enable me to give back to my future community.”
This popular event is all it is quacked up to be… and one that we look forward to all summer long. It is a great way for the entire family to enjoy the unofficial end of summer in the Basecamp of the White Mountains!
