The Franconia Notch Bike Path isn’t just for biking! This approximately 9 mile (one way) paved path stretches the length of Franconia Notch with views of Cannon Mountain and Echo Lake and easy access to many of the attractions such as The Basin. You will likely encounter many people, biking, dog-walking, running, and walking. Since this is a paved path it is great for wheelchairs and strollers, though there are a few hills to keep in mind. There are also bathrooms along different points, picnic tables, historical markers, access to trailheads, and is even part of the Appalachian Trail from the Lonesome Lake Trailhead to Liberty Springs Trailhead.

You may park at a number of places along the way, if you wish to “car spot” parking at the beginning and the end and returning to pick up your vehicle, we suggest leaving a car in the far end of the Flume parking lot. After that hop into the other car and continue up 93 through the notch. The trail technically terminates at the Skookumchuck Brook Trailhead just off of exit 35. However visitors may find it easier to park at the Cannon Mountain Tramway and accessing the path from here.
